Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Expiry is built to keep your information private. This policy explains what the app stores, what it shares and the choices you have.
Data stored on your device
Everything you enter — items, dates, reminders, notes, costs, tags, renewal history, your name and your settings — is stored only in the app's local database on your device. Expiry has no account system and does not upload this information to our servers.
Reminders
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally by your phone's operating system. No server is involved and notification content never leaves your device.
Advertising
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process device information such as the advertising ID, IP address and approximate location, under Google's own privacy policy. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google's consent form, and you can change your choice anytime in Settings > Privacy choices. The titles, notes and other content of your items are never shared with advertisers. With an ad-free plan, no ads are requested.
Purchases
Ad-free plans are purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details. The app only keeps the purchased plan and its end date, stored securely on your device.
Analytics
Expiry does not sell your data and does not collect the content you enter. Any usage statistics we may use to improve the app are anonymous product events (for example, "item created") and never include titles, notes or your name.
Backups and export
When you export, a backup file is created and shared only where you choose. Your phone's own system backup (Google or iCloud) may include the app's data according to your device settings.
Your rights and deleting data
Because your data stays on your device, you control it directly: delete individual items in the app, or uninstall Expiry to erase everything. You may exercise your rights under the GDPR, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and other applicable laws — access, correction, deletion and objection — by contacting us.
Children
Expiry is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the app.
